Brittain is a Utah native and avid health enthusiast. She received her bachelors degree from Utah Valley University in 2019 and received her masters degree from Simmons University with Summa cum laude in 2022. Brittain has been certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center since 2023. Her professional history includes intensive neonatal/pediatric nursing care for 4.5 years. She is excited to transition to family practice, focusing on health promotion and disease prevention for patients of all ages. Brittain feels prepared for family practice as she completed the majority of her clinical training at Zenith, under the direction of Ally Roberts and Dr. Don Allred. Brittain's personal interests include creating healthy cuisine, attending local farmers markets, singing, hiking, traveling, water activities and spending quality time with her family.
Jennifer was born and raised in Minnesota, and her family recently relocated to Utah. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Union College in Lincoln, NE. Afterwards, she worked as an RN for 7 years in a variety of areas including long-term care, transitional care, the hospital setting, and same-day surgery. She received her Doctor of Nursing Practice from The College of St. Scholastica, and she specialized in family medicine. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Jennifer has a passion for preventative medicine and enjoys seeing patients of all ages. Jennifer always strives to provide patient-centered, individualized care. In her free time, Jennifer loves spending time with her husband and toddler. They enjoy hiking, biking, and walking their dogs.
Dr. Don Allred has been practicing family medicine since 1992 in the southwest Salt Lake Valley. Born in Salt Lake City, he graduated from Juab High School and subsequently received his bachelors degree from the University of Utah where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in Biology. He attended medical school in Fort Worth, Texas and received his doctorate degree with honors at the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. Residency training was completed through the Department of Family and Preventative Medicine at the University of Utah. He has been certified by the American Board of Family Medicine since 1992. Professional interests include pediatric care, sports medicine, and diabetes management, as well as office gynecology. Dr. Allred enjoys basketball and golf, ice fishing, crossword puzzles, and experiencing Utah's wonderful outdoors. Dr. Allred and his family live in Eagle Mountain, Utah.
Dr. Daniel Thompson was born in Rose Canyon, near Herriman, Utah with the Oquirrh mountains for a back yard. He is the second oldest of nine children. His brother Jeremy has a dental practice in the same building as Riverton Family Health. Dr. Thompson graduated with honors from Bingham High School in 1987. He then attended the University of Utah on a Presidential Scholarship, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1992. He was then accepted to the University of Utah School of Medicine and graduated in 1996. He then moved to Pocatello, Idaho, and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Idaho State University in 1999. Since then, he moved back home to work at Riverton Family Health Center. He loves the communities of South Salt Lake and is looking forward to meeting all the folks south of Camp Williams at the new Zenith office. He particularly loves the family friendly atmosphere here. He claims to have the best patients a doctor can ask for and he especially loves the children and young adults that come with our great families here in this area. Dr. Thompson asserts, I've found the right job and I've found the right place to work!
